You don’t need a lot of money to appreciate this next one, but you will need a membership card. A library card that is. Every city has one or more branches and they are a great way to save money and time. My latest discovery is the DVD and CD sections. Yes, Netflicks may be your subscription of choice, but most libraries allow you to keep movies for one week and charge less than $1 for each–some are even free.
Always one to want to re-use and re-cycle, I’ve been taking my used books to my local branch where they have a small “book store” and sell most books for $1-3. Yes, that’s right. So in addition to the regular library stacks, many library ‘bookstores’ have plenty of current books, mostly paperback that can be yours to keep. Check out your local library, you’ll be glad you did and so will your pocketbook.

If you’re like me, you have dozens of lipsticks, lip glosses, lip balm– you name it, but I find myself using the same one over and over while the others languish in my purse or makeup drawer. A favorite for some time has been Bobbi Brown lip tint in cherry tint with spf 15. I searched everywhere for an easy-to-apply form factor (no mirror necessary), some color, not a lot of shimmer and spf. Bobbi Brown came to my rescue.
But Bobbi, what have you done? I can’t find it anymore–it’s no longer on the Bobbi Brown website or Nordstrom, where I initally purchased it. I did find it at an amazon retailer by searching “bobbi brown lip tint cherry” but now wonder how old it is given that it doesn’t seem like a current product. I’m hoping someone can come to my rescue and find a good substitute that meets my criteria.

Coffee’s great first thing in the morning. But after that I prefer tea. My newest find is Mighty Leaf Tea–my favorite blend is chamomile citrus. This is so unbelievably good; it has a complex flavor blend that’s just right without being overwhelming. Trust me, you need to try it. If you think chamomile tea is too boring, you must try this one. Even the tea bag itself is cool! It can be hard to find, check their website for more info. Approx. $6 for 16 tea bags at my local health specialty store. Mighty Leaf Tea

Needed a new bra. Found paradise. No need to sacrifice fit for good looks, in fact fit is foremost here with good quality bras and personal ‘fit’ specialists to make sure you’re wearing the right size (and trust me, you’re probably not!). Not the cheapest in town, but hey, you’re not so cheap yourself. If you’re looking for a makeover, this may save you thousands–no plastic surgery necessary, but will keep people wondering . Only problem–limited location and not something you could order online. Maybe it’s time to plan a vacation to one of Intimacy’s locales. Prices range from $70-200+ Intimacy

This site is dedicated to shoppers and non-shoppers alike! Although I am not into conspicuous consumption, and know that things generally will not make you happy for long, we all have to admit that there are certain things we prefer not to live without. For those of you who LOVE to shop, this site will give you some great ideas that are tried and true (at least by cravorite standards). For those of you who are in and out of the store so quickly that your feet barely touch the ground, you may like the site as well for the same reason. Tried and True. Of course people have different tastes, but better to have someone’s absolute favorites, don’t you think? And by all means, if you have something you have discovered that has become your favorite, please let me know.
